US Has One of the Highest Average Retirement Ages in the World

The U.S. has one of the highest average retirement ages in the world according to a study from Aperion Care. According to the study, the average age is 66 in the U.S, with men at 64 and women at 62.

The lowest official retirement age at 49 years old is in the United Arab Emirates. China has the second lowest age at 56.25. Norway has the highest average retirement age at 67.75 years old. According to the study, in Norway, 67 has been the official retirement age since the 1970’s.
