The Pentagon is reporting than American F-15 E fighter bombers struck an ISIS training camp in Libya today, near the Tunisian border. The attack has allegedly killed an Islamic State operative considered responsible for attacks in Tunisia last year and reportedly more than forty other ISIS fighters.
Reports are that ISIS is gaining traction in Libya with around five thousand fighters joining the terror organization. This while membership is shrinking in Syria and Iraq. The assault on the training camp did not appear to be the start of a sustained campaign but officials at the Pentagon agree that it may not be the last as they have identified more of these training camps elsewhere in Libya.
