U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry criticized Israeli's government and defended the U.S.'s decision not to veto a UN resolution against Israeli settlements.
He said if the U.S. did agree to a one-state Israel, the country would never live in peace. Kerry said Israel can either be Jewish or democratic, but not both. Kerry said Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Israeli government is destroying any hope of a two-state solution.
Netanyahu said Kerry's speech blamed the war on Israel and "paid lip service to the unremitting campaign of terrorism waged by the Palestinians."
