At least three people are dead as wildfires rip through Gatlinburg. The fire is fueled by strong winds and one of the worst droughts the Southeast has seen in nearly a decade. The USA Today reports more than 14,000 people were evacuated from Gatlinburg. Gatlinburg is located near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. CNN reports wildfires have damaged or destroyed hundreds of buildings in and near Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.
